Sacramento State women and Montana State men lead the team rankings going into the final day of the 2012 Big Sky Conference Championships in Bozeman, Mont. Field events begin tomorrow at 11 a.m. and running events start at 12:30 p.m.

Weber State’s Amber Henry broke the only championship record today in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 10:09.62. The old record of 10:17.36 was set back in 2002 by Ida Nilsson of Northern Arizona.

Sacramento State’s Ify Agwuenu leads the women for the Most Valuable Athlete award, while Montana State’s Jeff Mohl leads the men. That award is given to the individual athlete with the most points scored in a meet. Agwuenu has 13 points, while Mohl has 24.

In women’s team scores, SAC leads with 63 points, WSU (2nd, 45 points), Northern Arizona (3rd, 44), MSU (4th, 28), Montana (5th, 21), Idaho State (6th, 11), Eastern Washington (7th, 10), Northern Colorado (8th, 8) and Portland State (9th, 4).

On the men’s side in team scores, MSU (1st, 80), ISU (2nd, 52), NAU (3rd, 48.50), SAC (4th, 37), WSU (5th, 30), UM (6th, 28), EWU (7th, 25), PSU (8th, 10), NC (9th, 1.50).
