Weber State senior guard Kellen McCoy was an honorable mention selection to the Associated Press men’s basketball All-America Team.
McCoy, a 5-foot-6 senior guard from Norman, Okla., was the only Big Sky player selected to the squad. McCoy was named the Big Sky Conference MVP, and was an unanimous selection to the all-league first team.
McCoy averaged 14.1 points, 2.74 assists and 1.32 steals per game. He shot .809 percent from the free-throw line and .438 percent from 3-point range. McCoy averaged 1.94 3-pointers per game.
McCoy led Weber State to the regular-season title as the Wildcats finished with a 15-1 league record. Weber State’s season ended with a loss to San Diego State in the NIT.
