Montana State’s Janelle Reali has been selected as the Big Sky Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week after tying for fifth place at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic.
Reali, a sophomore from Livermore, Calif., recorded the best 54-hole total of her collegiate career. Reali opened play on Monday with an even-par 72, her lowest round of the spring. She followed with rounds of 73 and 75 for a 4-over-par 220.
Reali helped the Bobcats to an 11th-place finish at the 22-team tournament, which was played April 6-7 at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz. MSU finished with a 54-hole total of 917, which was second among the 10 Big Sky schools in the field.
This is Reali’s first Big Sky Golfer of the Week honor.
