Jois, a 6-foot-8 junior forward from Boronia, Australia, recorded consecutive double-doubles as the Eagles beat Idaho State and Weber State on the road to clinch a share of the Big Sky regular season championship. Jois averaged 21.5 points and 13 rebounds per game, and shot .655 percent from the field.
In an 85-81 win over Idaho State on Thursday, Jois made 8-of-10 shots from the field en route to 21 points and 10 rebounds. He also had an assist, a block and a steal. In Saturday’s 79-71 overtime win over Weber State, Jois had 22 points and pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds. He made 11-of-19 shots from the field and also had a block, an assist, and a steal.
Eastern Washington finished the regular season 14-4 in conference, tying Montana for the regular-season title. Eastern Washington had not won a regular-season title since 2003-04.
