Yanku, a 6-foot-4 sophomore guard from Chatsworth, Calif., averaged 20.5 points, seven assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game as the Lumberjacks beat Idaho and Eastern Washington to hike its conference record to 10-4. Yanku was 7-of-11 from the field, and 3-of-5 from 3-point range as he scored 22 points with six rebounds and five assists with three steals in a 72-65 win over Idaho on Thursday. Yanku scored 19 points with eight assists, six rebounds and three steals in an 83-79 win over Eastern Washington on Saturday. Against the Eagles, Yanku made 12-of-13 from the free-throw line. This is Yanku’s first career Player of the Week honor.
