Booth, a senior from West Jordan, Utah, tied for sixth place and helped the Thunderbirds to a second-place finish at the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Invitational hosted by Southern Utah. Booth opened play on Monday with an even-par 72 and closed on Tuesday with a 5-under-par 67 for a 36-hole total of 5-under 139. Booth carded 10 birdies in the 36 holes, which was third-most in the field.
Booth helped the Thunderbirds fire a 12-under-par 276 in Tuesday’s final round at the Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah. The Thunderbirds were in eighth place following the opening round, but finished second. The College of Charleston won the event with a 563, six shots better than the Thunderbirds.
