Brandon, a 6-4 senior guard from Corona, Calif., was one rebound shy of a triple-double in Eastern Washington’s 98-95 overtime win over Idaho. Brandon scored 18 points with 10 assists, nine rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal. He also made a layup at the buzzer of regulation to send the game into overtime.
The Eagles trailed by as many as 17 in the second half, and were down 11 with 1:33 remaining in regulation. Brandon had a steal that resulted in a basket that cut the lead to five with 1:03 to play. He made a pair of free throws in the final 36 seconds, and capped the rally with his driving lay-in as time expired. This is Brandon’s second Player of the Week honor this season.
