Garrity, a 6-foot-2 senior guard from Huntington Beach, Calif., scored a career-high 28 points in the Hornets’ 74-49 victory over the Wolverines on Saturday, Dec. 27. Garrity made 8-of-9 shots from the floor, was 6-of-7 from 3-point range, and 6-of-6 from the free-throw line. Garrity also pulled down three rebounds and dished out two assists in 32 minutes of action.
Garrity was +25 in plus/minus ratio, and he scored nine points during a 34-10 Hornet run. The 25-point victory marked the Hornets’ second largest margin of victory on the road since the program joined the Division I ranks in 1991-92. Garrity scored 15 points in the first half and 13 in the second half.
This is Garrity’s first Player of the Week honor this season, and the second of his career.
