Carter, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound senior from San Jose, Calif., caught 16 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns in Sacramento State’s 42-21 win over Southern Utah. His catches and yards set single-game school records. Carter’s 273 yards are the most by an FCS player this season. He caught TD passes of 19, 5, 18 and 30 yards. Carter leads the nation with 15 TD catches, a single-season Hornet record. This is Carter’s first career Player of the Week honor.
