Johnson, a 6-4, 250-pound senior from Stanwood, Wash., blocked a punt in the third quarter of Eastern Washington’s 26-18 victory over Northern Colorado. The block was recovered by Samson Ebukam at the Northern Colorado 25-yard line. Six plays later, Eastern Washington scored a touchdown to take a 20-3 lead. It marked the third straight game EWU has blocked a punt. The Eagles are now tied for the FCS lead in blocked punts. Johnson also had four tackles and a sack from his defensive end position. This is his first career Player of the Week honor.
