Jenkins, a 6-1, 225-pound freshman from Nampa, Idaho, registered 14 tackles – four for loss – with two interceptions, 1.5 sacks, and one QB hurry in Idaho State’s 56-28 win over Southern Utah. Ten of Jenkins’ 14 tackles resulted in gains of fewer than four yards. His first interception set up an Idaho State touchdown. Jenkins, a candidate for the Jerry Rice Award, ranks sixth in the league with an average of 10.1 tackles per game.
