Jenkins, a 6-1, 225-pound freshman from Nampa, Idaho, registered 14 tackles – four for loss – with two interceptions, 1.5 sacks, and one QB hurry in Idaho State’s 56-28 win over Southern Utah. Ten of Jenkins’ 14 tackles resulted in gains of fewer than four yards. His first interception set up an Idaho State touchdown. Jenkins, a candidate for the Jerry Rice Award, ranks sixth in the league with an average of 10.1 tackles per game. Jenkins is the first Idaho State defensive player to win Player of the Week honors since 2009
