Sarah Tarver, a senior defender from Juneau, Alaska, was a key member of Northern Arizona’s 1-0 double overtime win over UTEP this past weekend.  UTEP had defeated Big Sky opponents Southern Utah and Weber State earlier this season outscoring them 6-3 and had fired off 27 shots in the two games.  Tarver and the Lumberjacks’ defensive backline held the Miners to just eight shots, not allowing a single goal in 101 minutes of play. 
 
The Lumberjacks defense has not allowed a goal in the last 320 minutes they have played.  Tarver and the defense recorded their third straight shutout and are now riding a four-game winning streak.
