Purser, a junior from Syracuse, N.Y., tied for third and led the Wildcats to the team title at the Nebraska-Omaha Invitational. Purser finished with a 3-over-par 219, shooting rounds of 73, 74 and 72 on the 7,222-yard Arborlinks course in Nebraska City, Neb.
Led by Purser, the Wildcats won a playoff against host Nebraska-Omaha to claim the program’s first tournament title since 2011. Weber State carded rounds of 294, 301, and 299 for an 894. North Dakota State’s Bill Carlson captured medalist honors with a 4-under 212.
