Amanda Ellsworth, a senior forward from Roseville, Calif., became the second ISU player in program history to record a hat trick in a 5-4 win over Hawai’i on Sunday at Davis Field. Ellsworth’s three goals was also the third time a Bengal player has recorded six points in a game.
The Bengals rallied from two goals down twice in the game. ISU trailed 2-0 and 4-2. Ellsworth scored her goals on a penalty kick in the 14th minute and then she scored the final two goals of the game in the 75th and 84th minute. Ellsworth has a team-best six goals and 13 points on the season.
