Brittany Hendrickson, a sophomore from Springfield, Ore., hit .474 for the Vikings on the week but hit .667 going 8-for-12 in the Vikings’ three-game sweep of North Dakota this past weekend. Hendrickson scored twice, hit three doubles, drove in six runs, and hit her first career grand slam in the series finale. She slugged 1.167 with an on base percentage of .692 on the weekend and did not strikeout. She went 4-for-6 with runners on base and was a perfect 3-for-3 with runners in scoring position against UND. She also went 4-for-5 with two outs.

Hendrickson started the weekend scoring a run and driving in a pair in the Vikings doubleheader loss to instate rival Oregon State. She started Big Sky Conference play against North Dakota going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a RBI. In game two of the series she went 2-for-4 with another double and scored the game-winning run in the top of the fifth.

Hendrickson finished the regular season in a big way going 3-for-3 with a run scored while driving in five. She drove in four with her first career grand slam in the top of the sixth. She then drove in another run in the top of the seventh with a single.

Hendrickson finished the regular season leading the Vikings with a .358 average.  She has a team-best 12 doubles, is tied for the team lead with eight home runs, and has driven in 40 runs. She leads the team in both slugging percentage (.615) and on base percentage (.418).
