Baker, a senior from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, averaged 17.5 points on 50-percent shooting and 7.0 rebounds in leading Montana to a pair of home victories last week over North Dakota and Northern Colorado. She also went 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
Baker had 17 points and four rebounds in Thursday’s 77-45 victory over North Dakota. She hit seven of her 11 field goal attempts and added two blocks as the Lady Griz limited UND to 28.3-percent shooting.
In Saturday’s 56-42 victory over Northern Colorado, Baker totaled 18 points and 10 rebounds, her fourth double-double in six games and the 16th of her career. She also added four steals and three assists, both season highs.
After the Bears had cut a 17-point second-half deficit to nine with seven minutes to play, Baker scored the game’s next six points to up Montana’s advantage to 15.
