Street & Smith’s Yearbook Tabs Four Big Sky Teams in Top 25

OGDEN, Utah (June 14, 2018) – The annual Street & Smith’s Yearbook has four Big Sky teams ranked in the magazine’s Top 25 rankings with five league players earning preseason All-America distinction.
 
Weber State received the league’s highest ranking at No. 7. Eastern Washington came in at No. 14, followed by Northern Arizona at No. 16 and Sacramento State at No. 19. The Wildcats shared the conference title last season, while the Eagles, Lumberjacks and Hornets tied for third place.
 
Iosua Opeta, a senior offensive lineman from Weber State added to his list of preseason offers after a stellar junior campaign in which he aided the Wildcats in a school-record 11 wins. Teammate Trey Tuttle connected on 19 field goals his rookie season to earn preseason kicker honors.
 
Southern Utah offensive lineman Zach Larsen was a mainstay for the Thunderbirds at center a year ago, as he returns to lead a team that scored 52 touchdowns.  
 
Mister Harriel, a senior defensive back from Sacramento State received honors after first team all-conference accolades in 2017, while helping the Hornets become one of the top secondary units in the league.
 
UC Davis’ Keelan Doss earned preseason All-America honors after finishing third in voting for the Walter Payton Award last season and leading the FBS and FCS in receiving yards.
