OGDEN, Utah (February 13, 2018) - Sacramento State’s Hannah Friend was tabbed the Ready Nutrition #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week after leading the Hornets to a pair of league victories and their first back-to-back wins of the season.
Friend, a sophomore from San Clemente, Calif., guided the Hornets through an impressive homestand, recording wins over Montana State and Montana. On the week, Friend average 24.5 points and nine rebounds per game.
Against Montana State, Friend picked up her third 30-plus point performance of the season, posting 31 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Versus Montana, Friend tallied 18 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
Friend ranks fourth in the conference and leads all Big Sky sophomores in points per game (18.0). She also ranks first on the team and 11th in the Big Sky with an average of 7.1 rebounds per game.
