OGDEN, Utah (January 16, 2018) - Weber State’s Larryn Brooks was named the Ready Nutrition #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week after scoring 32 points against previous conference unbeaten Northern Colorado last week.
Brooks, a senior from Richmond, Ky., averaged 25.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, shot 48 percent from the field and 41 percent from beyond the arc in two Big Sky games. Against previous conference unbeaten Northern Colorado, Brooks put up 32 points and shot a solid 57 percent from the field, while knocking down 4-of-7 from the 3-Point line. She also pulled down six rebounds in that contest.
Later in the week versus North Dakota, Brooks had the game high of 19 points and went a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. She also recorded seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Brooks ranks second in the conference and 28th in the nation with 20.4 points per game. She also ranks second in the Big Sky and 20th in the nation in free-throw percentage (87.8).
