OGDEN, Utah (November 2, 2016) – Just one week remains in the #BigSkyGolf fall season, with players positioning their way heading into the break.
Sacramento State golfer Aaron Beverly earned a high finish at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, finishing in a tie for second place. Also, Montana State golfer Jaylee Tait earned a fourth-place finish at the Santa Clara Colby Invitational. For their respective accomplishments, both golfers earned the second-to-last set of #BigSkyGolf weekly honors.
Beverly, in a packed field at Stockton Country Club, shot rounds of 67-69-70 at the par-71 course. The Hornets had an impressive finish as a team, finishing in a tie for second place.
Other notable competitors on the men’s side included Idaho’s Ryan Porch, who finished in a tie for 46
th place at the St. Mary’s Invitational. Porch shot rounds of 78-72-77, as the Vandals finished in 14
th place. Idaho is currently playing in the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational.
On the women’s side, Tait shot rounds of 73-78-75, finishing in fourth place at the Santa Clara Colby Invitational. The Bobcats finished in third place in the tourney, with league rival Weber State finishing in fourth. Weber State’s Kaceelyn Pouttu finished in a tie for fifth place, individually.
