OGDEN, Utah (October 20, 2015) -- With just three games left in the Big Sky Conference soccer season, three teams are battling for first place and the right to host the conference tournament.?
  • Idaho is ranked No. 10 in the Pacific region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). This is the Vandals first regional ranking all season and the second for a Big Sky team this season.
  • Idaho leads the Big Sky with a 7-0 record and 21 points in the standings. The Vandals will have a chance to clinch the Big Sky regular season title and tournament hosting rights this weekend as they host North Dakota and second-place Northern Colorado. If Idaho wins both games, they will clinch the championship.
  • UNC and Eastern Washington are still in the hunt for the regular season title. The Bears face Eastern Washington and Idaho this weekend. If the Bears sweep the Eagles and Vandals, they will be in the driver’s seat in the Big Sky standings with one game left to play, setting up a crucial final game of the season for both UNC and UI.
  • Eastern Washington needs to go 3-0 in their remaining three matches in order to win the Big Sky regular season championship and earn the right to host the conference tournament.
