GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Big Sky Conference regular season champion University of North Dakota women’s basketball team will host the 2014 Big Sky Conference Tournament at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center March 13-15.
Tickets go on sale today at noon Central at the Ralph Engelstad Arena box office or online at UNDsports.com. Reserved all-session passes start at $15. Reserved and general admission single-session tickets start at $10 and will be available for each session at 10 a.m. of the corresponding day. There is only one session per day and a single session ticket provides access to each game that day.
Women’s basketball season-ticket holders have until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 to claim their season ticket locations for the tournament. Season-ticket holders can reserve their all session pass online through their “My North Dakota Account” at UNDsports.com or in person at the Ralph Engelstad Arena box office.
The tournament features three games on Thursday, two on Friday and one on Saturday. As the number one seed, North Dakota received a bye into the semi-finals and will not play on Thursday. UND will meet the lowest seed remaining from the quarterfinals on Friday at 5 p.m.
On Thursday and Saturday, North Dakota Champions Club members with basketball hang-tag parking passes will be able to park in all REA lots as usual. Free general parking will also be available in the REA parking lots on Thursday and Saturday.
On Friday, due to the overlap of the Big Sky Conference Championship and NCHC Quarterfinal playoffs, fans should expect significant changes to normal basketball parking. Those fans with men’s hockey hang-tags need to use them to park on-site at REA at their normal hockey parking location. For those with a basketball hang-tag, but not a men’s hockey hang-tag, your basketball hang-tag will be honored at the UND Wellness Center lot (Friday only). Free general parking for Friday will be allowed in the UND Wellness Center lot (subject to availability) and the UND parking lot on the southwest corner of Princeton and 6th Avenue North. Fans without a hang-tag are asked to park in either of those two locations for the basketball games Friday.
Heavy traffic loads are anticipated and fans are encouraged to arrive in advance of all game times in an attempt to make the traffic and parking process as smooth as possible for all fans. Please drive with caution in and around the facility throughout the weekend.
