The fourth week of the conference season starts with five matches on Friday….Sacramento State will travel to North Dakota, Weber State will head to Idaho, Southern Utah will host Eastern Washington, undefeated Montana will travel to third place Northern Arizona, and Northern Colorado will host Portland State…10 teams are back in action on Sunday,…North Dakota will host Portland State,  Eastern Washington will travel to Northern Arizona, Montana will face Southern Utah, Northern Colorado will host Sacramento State and Idaho State will travel to Idaho…Northern Arizona’s matches will be on Fox Sports Arizona…Southern Utah’s matches can be seen for free on WatchBigSky.com…North Dakota’s matches can be seen at UNDsports.com…All other matches will feature live stats.

Weekly Recap
OGDEN, Utah (October 14, 2014) –With three weeks of the 2014 Big Sky conference soccer season in the books, Montana sits atop the standings with a 5-0 conference record.
 
In its lone match of the weekend Montana defeated Idaho 1-0 in overtime.  Montana's Brooke Moody scored the lone goal of the match in the 96th minute of play.  The Grizzlies were awarded a penalty kick in the 96th minute and Moody converted the PK to give UM the 1-0 win. 
 
In Idaho’s additional match over the weekend, the Vandals defeated Eastern Washington 1-0.  UI's Gabby Leong scored the lone goal of the match in the 47th minute. 
 
Northern Arizona went 2-0 over the weekend after defeating North Dakota and Northern Colorado. On Friday, against North Dakota, NAU's Demi Schmieder opened the scoring with a goal in the 57th minute.  Cierra Gamble and Haley Wingender each added a goal for the Lumberjacks to give NAU the 3-0 win.  NAU's Adrian Nixt assisted all three goals.  On Sunday, NAU defeated Northern Colorado 1-0 in double overtime.  After 109 scoreless minutes, NAU's Haley Wingender scored the game-winning goal in double overtime with 30 seconds remaining in the match.
 
In Northern Colorado’s other match over the weekend the Bears defeated Southern Utah 1-0.  UNC's Juliana Grover scored the lone goal in the second minute of the match. 
 
Portland State went 2-0 over the weekend after defeating Idaho State and Weber State.  On Friday, the Vikings defeated Idaho State 1-0. PSU's Kayla Henningsen scored the lone goal of the match in the 16th minute.  On Sunday, in a rematch of last year’s Big Sky championship match, Portland State defeated WSU 1-0.  PSU’s Henningsen again scored the lone goal of the match in the third minute. 
 
Idaho State went 1-1 over the weekend.  After falling to Portland State on Friday, the Bengals bounced back and defeated Sacramento State 3-2 in overtime on Sunday.  Idaho State's Maria Sanchez opened up the scoring with a goal in the 14th minute.  In the 43rd minute, Sacramento State's Kristen Bridges took a shot that bounced off of the post and deflected off the Idaho State goalkeeper Sheridan Hapsic and into the goal to tie the match at 1-1.  ISU regained the lead in the 58th minute after Amanda Ellsworth scored to put the Bengals up 2-1.  In the 76th minute, SAC's Rachel Leonard equalized the match to send the game into overtime.  Just 89 seconds into overtime, Ellsworth scored the game-winning goal. 
 
ISU’s Amanda Ellsworth is now third overall in the Big Sky with 34 career goals.  Northern Arizona’s Holly Jones is second with 35 career goals and Montana’s Heather Olson sits in first place with 36 career goals.
 
Sacramento State earned its first conference win after defeating Weber State 2-0.  Sacramento State's Maggie Pleis scored the first goal of the match in the 64th minute.  Shelby Salvacion scored the final goal in the 78th minute for the Hornets.  Sac State fell to Idaho State in its other match of the weekend.
 
Southern Utah went 1-1 over the weekend falling to Northern Colorado and defeating North Dakota.  On Sunday against North Dakota, UND's Marissa Ricci opened up the scoring with a goal in the 19th minute.  The T-birds' Alyssa Gomez tied the match with a goal in the 24th minute.  Five minutes later SUU's Ally Thimsen scored to give SUU the 2-1 lead.  Southern Utah's Shelby Green added to the T-birds lead with a goal in the 63rd minute.
