This Week in the Big Sky
The third week of the conference season starts with four matches on Friday…Portland State, which is undefeated in the Big Sky, will host Southern Utah…Northern Arizona will travel to Sacramento State…North Dakota is looking for its first ever Big Sky Conference win as it hosts Montana…Northern Colorado will host Eastern Washington…On Saturday, Weber State will travel to Idaho State…Eight teams are back in action on Sunday…Montana is at Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona is at Portland State, Southern Utah is at Sacramento State and Eastern Washington at North Dakota…Both of Portland State’s matches will be streaming live on WatchBigSky.com…All other matches will feature live stats.

Weekly Recap
OGDEN, Utah (October 8, 2013) – With the first two weeks of conference soccer in the books, Portland State tops the Big Sky standings with a 4-0 record.
 
On Friday, Portland State defeated Eastern Washington 2-0. PSU's Cori Bianchini scored the first goal of the match in the 20th minute.  Lynsey Gaines doubled the Vikings lead with a goal in the 28th minute.  On Sunday, Portland State defeated Montana 1-0.  Kayla Henningsen scored the only goal of the match in the 5th minute, off of a free kick from 45 yards out. 
 
On Friday, Northern Colorado defeated North Dakota 2-1.  UNC's Juliana Grover scored the first goal of the match in the 3rd minute.  UND's Zoe Foster equalized the match in the 47th minute.  Essence Ortiz-Lanier scored the game-winning goal for the Bears in the 53rd minute of the match.
 
In Sacramento State’s first game of the weekend, the Hornets defeated Montana 3-0.  Ashley Cella scored the first goal of the match in the 8th minute for the Hornets.  Just over a minute later, Jordyn Rolling scored to give SAC the 2-0 lead.  In the 25th minute, Alyssa Anderson scored the final goal of the match to give SAC the 3-0 win over Montana.  In the second game of the weekend, the Hornets lost to Eastern Washington 2-1 in overtime.
 
On Friday, Southern Utah defeated Weber State 2-1.  Lana Willard scored Weber State’s only goal of the match in the 49th minute.  Just over two minutes later, SUU's Megan Mower equalized the match.  Sydney Cook scored the game-winning goal for the Thunderbirds in the 85th minute.  On Sunday, SUU lost to Idaho State 2-0.
 
On Friday, Northern Arizona defeated Idaho State 2-1.  Amanda Ellsworth scored the first goal of the match with a goal in the 28th minute for the Bengals.  NAU's Haley Wingender tied up the match with a goal in the 44th minute.  Cierra Gamble scored the game-winning goal for NAU in the 88th minute.  On Sunday, Northern Arizona lost 2-1 to Weber State.
 
Eastern Washington lost its first match of the weekend to Portland State 2-0.  On Sunday, EWU defeated Sacramento State 2-1 in overtime.  SAC's Jordyn Rolling scored the first goal of the match in the 41st minute.  EWU's Siara Byers equalized the match with a goal in the 74th minute to send the game into overtime.  In the 97th minute, Cassie Black scored the game-winning goal for the Eagles.
 
On Friday, Weber State lost to Southern Utah 2-1.  On Sunday, Weber State defeated Northern Arizona 2-1.  Abbey Kennedy scored the first goal of the match in the 32nd minute for the Wildcats.  NAU's Emily Wadell scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute off of a rebound in front of the goal.  Chansi Crompton scored the game-winning goal in the 68th minute to give the Wildcats the 2-1 win.
 
Idaho State lost its first match of the weekend to Northern Arizona 2-1.  On Sunday, the Bengals defeated Southern Utah 2-0.  The Bengals had goals from Amanda Ellsworth and Madeline Gochnour.
 
Montana lost both of its matches over the weekend.  UM lost 3-0 to Sacramento State and lost to Portland State 1-0.
