Ogden, Utah (April 13, 2011) - Final conference play wraps up this week as Big Sky teams fight for seeds in the tournament April 23-24. The top four conference teams advance to the championship with the Sacramento State men's and women's tennis teams as the only two conference teams who have clinched a spot in the tournament.
On the men's side, Sacarmento State has secured their spot and the No. 1 seed in the tournament as they captured the regular-season title last week with a win over Montana. Idaho State and Northern Colorado are out of the running for a spot, leaving six teams left to vie for three more spots in seven conference matches next week.
On the women's side, the Hornets are the only team safely into the tournament so far, with Idaho State and Eastern Washington out of the running. Eight conference matches remain while six teams continue their hunt for a conference-tournament bid.
The tournament will be held in Bozeman, Mont., and is hosted by Montana State. For further information on the championship, click here.
