ISU's Thompson-Brock Name Volleyball's Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah (Sept. 13) - Idaho State’s Haylee Thompson-Brock has been selected as the Big Sky Conference’s volleyball player of the week.

Thompson-Brock averaged 12.5 kills per match and five digs per match, posting double-digit kills at all four matches last weekend at the Hampton Inn Drake Bulldog Challenge Tournament. Her performance earned her All-Tournament Team.

The senior outside hitter helped her team to a 3-1 record against South Dakota, University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, Stephen F. Austin and Drake, the undefeated tournament champion.

On Friday morning against South Dakota, the Gilbert, Ariz. native tied a game-high with 12 kills and also posted seven digs, one solo block and one block assist in the 3-0 sweep. In a loss to Drake, Thompson-Brock led the Bengals with 11 kills, two digs and one solo block.

On Saturday, Thompson-Brock recorded 10 kills, six digs and one block asssist in the Bengals’ 3-1 win against UWGB, and against Stephen F. Austin posted a game-high of 17 kills while hitting a .325 hitting percentage with only four errors in 40 attempts. In addition, she posted five blocks to help her team to a 3-1 win over Stephen F. Austin.
