Baker, a senior from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, averaged 18.5 points on 51.9-percent shooting and 7.5 rebounds to lead Montana to a pair of home wins last week over Portland State and Eastern Washington. Baker also added three blocks and five steals and went 8 for 9 from the line in the two victories that vaulted Montana to the top of the Big Sky Conference standings.
Baker had 15 points, nine rebounds and four steals in Thursday’s 72-61 win over the Vikings as Montana overcame an eight-point second-half deficit. Baker had 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting in Saturday’s 76-51 victory over the Eagles. Baker’s shooting helped Montana shoot a season-best 48.4 percent.
