Two old rivals – Montana State and Idaho State – will meet for the 76th time this Saturday, live on Altitude Sports & Entertainment.
It’s the final regular-season Big Sky Conference game this season on Altitude, and it brings together two teams who first met in 1923.
Mychal Clanton will handle the play-by-play duties with former Montana State defensive lineman and Detroit Lions player John Taylor handling color commentary.
Altitude Sports & Entertainment is available on Dish Network channel 410, DirecTV channel 681 and many cable outlets throughout Montana, Colorado, Utah and Idaho.
Montana State enters Saturday’s contest with a 2-2 conference mark and a 4-3 overall record. The Bobcats need to win their last four games if it hopes to advance to the Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs.
The Bobcats, behind quarterback Cody Kempt, rolled up a season-high 592 yards of total offense in a 35-24 loss at Eastern Washington last week. MSU leads the Big Sky in rushing defense, allowing just 86 yards per game. The Bobcats have allowed just one rushing touchdown all season.
Idaho State is looking for its first victory of the season, and hoping to snap a 20-game road losing streak. The Bengals are led by sophomore linebacker A.J. Storms, who ranks second in the Big Sky with 87 total tackles.
Altitude Sports & Entertainment will be the home once again of the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball Game of the Week. Catch nine regular-season games and semifinal action from the Big Sky Championship. The package starts in January.
